School Opens September 2nd!
We are so excited to welcome students on Tuesday, September 2! Our staff has been hard at work over the summer months preparing for an incredible school year. Our teachers have been engaged in program improvement projects, taking courses, and readying their classrooms for the first day. And our incredible PTA and PTC partners have been busy planning an array of programs and activities for our students and families. We can't wait to see our students and begin our journey through the 2025-26 school year!
Off and Away
New York's state-wide student device ban is officially law. In accordance with this law, Scarsdale's Board of Education adopted Policy 5695 - Students and Personal Electronic Devices on July 1. The SHS administration sent out a communication earlier this week outlining how the policy will be implemented this school year, and this graphic that summarizes our policy at each level has been updated accordingly. Parents needing to reach their children during the day can call the school office. As always, please reach out with your questions.
Back to School Articles
Each year the Board and Superintendent craft letters to the community highlighting some of the important work planned for the coming year. Traditionally these articles were printed in the Scarsdale Inquirer. Since the loss of our local paper, Todd Sliss and Joanne Wallenstein have graciously agreed to share these in their respective publications.
