Dear Eleventh-Graders,

Here is how to ADD TO or CREATE your English Portfolio.

If you have made a portfolio before, you'll now need to ADD TO it. Follow these instructions.

1. First, in a separate tab, open your portfolio from last year in Google Docs. Then come back to this page.

2. You'll need to add a few new pages to your portfolio. Click this link to get the new pages.

3. Select the additional pages you need, and then copy.

4. Paste in the additional pages to your original portfolio.

5. Now you can add writing from this year to your portfolio! 

6. Choose a persuasive/analytical writing piece from this year to add to your portfolio.  

7. Complete the short reflection.

8. Optional: if you wish, you may include a creative/personal piece and reflection.

9. Share your portfolio with your current English teacher.

10. All done!

If you are CREATING a portfolio for the first time, follow these instructions. 

1. First, make sure you are signed in to your Scarsdale google account. Then come back to this page.

2. To access the template for your portfolio, click this link.

3. Under “File,” select “Make a copy.”  

4. Rename your new document “[Lastname]Portfolio.”

5. Now you can start adding samples of your writing to your new portfolio!

6. Choose a persuasive/analytical writing piece from this year to add to your portfolio.  

7. Complete the short reflection.

8. Optional: if you wish, you may include a creative/personal piece and reflection. 

9. Share your portfolio with your current English teacher.

10. All done!
