AT Classes and Your Plans

SENIOR OPTIONS – WEEKLY MAXIMUM TIME ALLOWANCE FOR AP EXAMS
(in hours) - These hours INCLUDE the hours spent taking the test as well.

2026 AP Exemptions

Below are the hours that you deduct per week in order to attend your class review sessions depending on which AP EXAM you take. This is the maximum allowance.  For example: Say for Spanish you attend only 2 class sessions with your teacher, you get 2 hrs deducted and not 4, but if your teacher has you attend 4 class periods, then you deduct the full 4 hrs. Your AP Exam hours also get deducted, which is why the week 2 and 3 hours may be higher than week 1:

Sample:               You are taking AP exams in Spanish  Language, Biology, and Statistics

For the week of April 27:  4 (Span.) + 6 (Bio) + 4 (Stat) = 14 hours to deduct from the requirement of 30 hours:
you are responsible for 16 hours that week.

For the week of May 4:  4 (Span.) + 3 (Bio) + 4 (Stat) = 11 hours to deduct from the requirement of 30 hours:
you are responsible for 19 hours that week.

For the week of May 11:  5 (Span.) + 0 (Bio) + 0 (Stat) = 5 hours to deduct from the requirement of 30 hours:
you are responsible for 25 hours that week.

AGAIN - This is if you ATTEND the class review sessions. If you do not, then you ONLY deduct 4 hours for the actual AP exam the day of your exam.
